European markets are just so much fun. In Delft, Thursday and Saturday are market days. So shortly after breakfast we headed to the Grote Markt (central market square) in between the Nieuw Kerk (new church) and City Hall.
Lovely things to see
And things to eat
And some even "enjoy" raw herring (can you imagine?)
A horse drawn caliope wanders through the market

Marne, I have to admit that my pre-conceived notion of the Netherlands has positively changed, thanks to you. I honestly thought it was a country that was just ... flat. Well, it's still flat -- but an interesting kind of flat! I'll have to put it on my list of places to see before I die. :) Thanks for taking time to share with us. Hugs to everyone!
