Here Comes the Week-end

The two oldest grandkids went home with their dad and my daughter and the baby stayed over on Thursday night. We had a fun time as two grown women - instead of any mother/daughter interactions. We consulted on my latest effort. Friend Gretchen is retiring at the end of the school year and is quite a "purple" girl, so this seemed perfect. I have actually made 7 of the prairie braid strips, but by the time I add the outside borders (dark purple polka dots) I was thinking perhaps this is enough for a wall hanging. Right now it's about 42 inches long and 21 inches wide.

I will get this done, eventually, but at least by the first of June. Next, I will (I WILL!!!) get busy with a number of UFO's. Then with a very clear conscience I can look for other fabric to add to my "collection".
Happy Friday.
